Marking Period 1 - 2006
- CLASS PARTICIPATION
Participation in a Choral ensemble is a team effort. Each member must learn parts both individually and collectively to create our final product. Repertoire represents Choral Literature from many periods of history, repertoire in foreign languages and selections that will challenge your ongoing knowledge of the basics of music and notation. To this end, it is necessary for each class member to create and maintain a positive atmosphere for growth and learning. Listening and following directions, remaining on-task throughout the period and cooperating with others is paramount to success in this class. Class Participation Grades are recorded bi-weekly. - BEHAVIOR

Portfolios assignments represent an active part of your marking period grade. The number of assignments will vary with the addition of mandatory concerts in a marking period. If you do not complete a portfolio assignment by the deadline, the grade for that assignment is a zero. If you are absent on a portfolio due date, you will have 2 school days to turn in the work. After those two additional days, the assignment becomes a zero. If you hand the assignment in late, the grading will begin after dropping one letter for each day late.
